Our first trip
We went down to San Antonio this weekend to see my brother graduate from basic training for the Air Force. It was awesome. We weren't able to see the entire ceremony (it's a three day affair), but did see the flight units do a quick parade on the field as they marched by and showed off a little of their drill routines. Sean was relieved to get at least a few days of "town pass", meaning he could leave the base - the first time in eight weeks. He needed to get away so we went to Target and Walmart and Red Lobster and then did some sightseeing in San Antonio along the Riverwalk and through the Alamo. He had never been there so it was fun. My mom liked it as well - she had never been either. Sadie did really well for her first trip away from home and away from her normal routine of eating and napping at certain times. Overall the trip was great. Tons of pictures, of course. Now Sean is off to tech school for about two to two and a half months, so we'll be able to see him near the end of April or beginning of May. That will be nice. It's good to see that he has found something that he's interested in and puts his heart into. And I'm proud to say that my brother is serving our country in the world's greatest air force, the United States Air Force. **Smile** For his position he is training for, he most likely will not be shipped out overseas for quite some time, if at all, which is nice to know. All the best of luck to him... and I'll see if can mail him a few more Butterfingers to keep him going.
