A quick blurb

I've been inspired. Thanks Kristie. I need it. And who better to look up to/forward with in this journey than you? For those who don't know, I've gone vegan. No. It's not a plague, no I'm not crazy. I'm serious. I needed to do something for me by me. And what better way than to treat my body the way it should be - with thought and purpose. I've been at it for about ten days now, a few slips here and there, but I'm no going to the extreme that the world will end if I have two or three dark chocolate covered soynuts mixed in with my can of mixed cashews/brazilian nuts/almonds/walnuts (and whatever else was in there - yummy). I may have had egg in some bread I had for a pbj the other day. But I'm not worried about it. I'm approaching this in the things that I buy will be looked at closely to go as vegan as I can without going extreme. (Hooray for reduced fat crescent rolls!) I've noticed that I have felt a bit lighter in my step, and a bit lighter on the scale too. Stupid work pants falling off again. Woohoo! But overall I feel that I have a more positive up-beat look on things. .... And in comes the head cold/allergies that are keeping me up at night. Oh well. (No, it's not the flu, or swine flu, or crazy cow flu, etc.) I'll keep posting how things are changing for the better (or the worse, but let's hope not) as time goes on. All I can say is thank you to Kristie and thank you Internet to reading my ramblings. Good night..... zzz .... mmm.... salad for lunch tomorrow already in fridge ready to go .... mmm.... zzzz.....

Oh.... and did I mention? SADIE IS MOBILE!!!! She's crawling now! First response - woohoo! Big girl! Awesome! Second response - Oh crap! Move stuff out of the way! Put that up! Get out of the way cat or you'll get your tail pulled! Haha.

Growing up

My little girl is growing so fast. Thomas took a picture of her today as she was standing on her own. Granted she was holding on to the bench, but no human hands were around. She's getting really good at it too. Last night we were playing and she was bouncing on her legs and giggling. So smart.

The funniest thing was last night when I went in to check on her after abou
t 20 minutes of laying her down to go to sleep. Just to make sure. A habit I will probably never break. She's too darn cute to not get that last look at her and smile before I head off to bed myself. Anyways, I go in to check on her. Normally she'll curl up on her side and kick her musical seahorse a few times and fall asleep facing the wall. Not last night. Nowhere near that position. She was on her stomach, arms sprawled out, face smooshed into the bed, and her butt sticky straight up into the air. Hilarious. I tried so hard to not wake her up while holding back the guffaw that was building up inside. Instead I took a few pictures. Check out her Flickr page (www.flickr.com/photos/babymo) for all of the fun. But I'll give you at least one good one here. Enjoy.
